Abstract
„Based on a recent company survey, the paper examines the relationships between the digitalization of companies and aspects of company training. The focus is on company-sponsored training, the use of external training providers, and the challenges companies face in finding suitable external training offers. The results show that highly digitalized companies tend to offer more support for employee training. Companies that have introduced or plan to introduce new information and communication technologies or artificial intelligence increasingly focus on developing their employees' skills. Regarding the use of external training offers, the results indicate that both highly digitalized and less digitalized companies predominantly rely on offers from external providers. However, companies implementing new digital technologies are more frequently faced with the challenge of finding appropriate training offers." (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
