Abstract
(Autorenreferat ; BIBB-Doku)
"FEMOLA and FIT-Choice are two validated instruments to study career choice motives of pre-service teachers of general education. As VET teaching is less known (Frommberger/Lange, 2018) and popular (Ebner/Rohrbach-Schmidt, 2019) and, in addition, their students’ biographies differ, the question arises as to how well suited the existing instruments are to research this target group. Our study examines the suitability of the FEMOLA questionnaire for professional teachers using confirmatory factor analysis and autobiographical-narrative interviews. In principle, the instrument showed an adequate fit. Moreover, several possibilities to extend and adapt FEMOLA for VET AND general education teaching were revealed." (Author's abstract ; BIBB-Doku)
