Abstract
(Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)
"In several German states, "engineering" was introduced as a major subject at vocational grammar schools. This article presents insight from the accompanying research and focuses on the students' structure of their academic "engineering" selfconcept from a theoretical and empirical perspective. Furthermore, it explains how various facets of the "engineering" self-concept are developed in different qualification levels within the vocational programme and how they determine the specific course selection behaviour."
