Tertiäre Bildung mit hohem Arbeitsmarktbezug - die höhere Berufsbildung in der Schweiz

Abstract

"Das höhere Berufsbildungssystem der Schweiz ist historisch aus der heterogenen und kaum reglementierten beruflichen Weiterbildung hervorgegangen und bildet heute den nicht akademischen Teil der tertiären Bildungsstufe in der Schweiz. Mit dem Berufsbildungsgesetz 2002 wurde sie neben der hochschulischen Tertiärstufe A als Tertiärstufe B verankert. Damit hat sie eine deutliche bildungspolitische Aufwertung erfahren. Dieser Beitrag blickt auf die Entwicklung der beruflichen Tertiärstufe zurück und diskutiert, wie sich die verschiedenen Bildungsgänge der höheren Berufsbildung im System positioniert haben und innerhalb welcher Spannungsfelder aktuelle Reformbestrebungen stattfinden." In the Vocational and Professional Education and Training Act of 2002 it was enshrined as Tertiary Level B alongside the university-track Tertiary Level A, a decision that distinctly boosted its value within education policy. This article looks back at the development of the vocational tertiary level and discusses how the different higher vocational and professional education and training courses have positioned themselves in the system.
