Abstract

"Im Professionalisierungsdiskurs um personenbezogene Dienstleistungsberufe wird auf die spezifische Konstitution dieses Berufsfeldes hingewiesen. Dazu zählen u. a. genderspezifische Problemstellungen der Berufe und besondere Ausbildungsstrukturen in schulischen Bildungsgängen. Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit der Frage, was dies für die Professionalisierung des Berufsfeldes Körperpflege bedeutet, insbesondere für die Berufe FriseurIn und KosmetikerIn. Was sind die aktuellen Herausforderungen für die Professionalisierung dieser Berufe? Unter welchen Rahmenbedingungen findet Professionalisierung in diesem Berufsfeld statt? "The discourse on the professionalisation of person-related services points to the specific constitution of this professional field. These include, amongst others, genderspecific problems of the professions as well as particular training structures in vocational education courses. The present article deals with the question what this means for the professionalisation of personal care and service occupations, in particular for the professions of a hairdresser and a cosmetician. What are the current challenges for the professionalisation of these occupations? Under which framework conditions does the professionalisation proceed in this professional field? To what extent do the distinct female gender-specific characteristics influence the occupationalisation and professionalisation of personal care and service occupations?"
