Industrie 4.0 : Hype, Hope oder Harm?

Abstract

"Der vorliegende Beitrag geht der Frage nach, wie die aktuellen Wandlungsprozesse rund um das Thema Industrie 4.0 wahrgenommen werden und wovon die Wahrnehmung beeinflusst wird. Im Rahmen der Debatte um das Thema Industrie 4.0 kristallisieren sich drei Trends (Hype, Hope und Harm) heraus, die parallel diskutiert werden. In der vorliegenden Studie werden diese aufgegriffen und mittels einer Online-Befragung mit 136 Mandatsträgern aus dem Bereich der chemisch-pharmazeutischen Industrie empirisch untersucht. Die Studie gibt Hinweise dafür, dass technikaffine Personen das Thema Industrie 4.0 positiver wahrnehmen. Deutlich gezeigt werden kann, dass die Ent- bzw. Belastung durch digitale Technologien die Wahrnehmung von Industrie 4.0 beeinflusst." (Autorenreferat ; BIBB-Doku)

"This article examines the current change concerning the digitalization of the industrial sector and how this process is perceived by elected representatives of the German chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, key factors of influence with regard to the perception of industrial digitalization are analyzed focusing on three major trends within the scientific literature: hype, hope, and harm. The study is based on an online questionnaire with 136 members of works councils, senior executive committees, and plant groups of the German chemical-pharmaceutical industry. The results indicate that representatives who are rather technically oriented perceive the industrial digitalization more positively. Moreover, the results clearly show that industrial digitalization is perceived more positively when associated with a decreased workload and vice versa." (author's abstract)
