Abstract
(Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)
"Vocational schools in Germany, as well as the subject work and business studies, face many challenges which they need to address with very different development strategies. Among others, these are: an increase in academic training, the growing heterogeneity of young people along with a demand for inclusion, a large number of refugees and thus a growing number of students in the transition system of vocational education, the increasing importance of fitting vocational choices and vocational orientation, changes of professions and of qualification demands by digitalization and industry 4.0 and especially the demographic change. The article aims at showing effects of demographic change on the vocational school system as well as the subject work and business studies." (authors' abstract; BIBB-Doku)
