Abstract
"The recognition of non-formal and informal learning, nationally as well as Europe-wide, becomes more and more important. However, many different comprehensions and approaches are discussed among the term 'recognition'. There are several national and Europe-wide approaches that serve for the recognition of competences, but a systematic analysis and comparison of the approaches has not yet been done. The different approaches of recognition can be classified within a typology. This typology differentiates between the types 'Integration', 'Autonomy' and 'Supplement'." The focus of this contribution lies on analysing approaches belonging to the type 'Autonomy'. The following examples were chosen: the ProfilPASS-system, the Europass-Mobility, and the Youthpass.
