Die Berufsrelevanz des Pflegestudiums : Erwartungen, Anforderungen und Perspektiven aus Sicht von Studierenden und Schlüsselpersonen der Versorgungspraxis

Abstract

"Das neue Pflegeberufegesetz sieht vor, dass es ab 2020 - ergänzend zur beruflichen Pflegeausbildung - regelhaft ein beruflich qualifizierendes Pflegestudium geben wird. Damit wird eine schon lange vorgetragene Forderung verschiedener Fachverbände umgesetzt. Diese hochschulische Form der Pflegeausbildung wird bereits seit 2003/2004 unter Nutzung der sog. Modellklausel der bisherigen Pflegeberufegesetze in Form von Pilotprojekten praktiziert. Für die Umsetzung der bevorstehenden Reform ist es von Interesse, die Erfahrungen aus diesen Modellversuchen zu integrieren. Mit dieser Intention wurden im Rahmen einer von der Baden-Württemberg Stiftung gGmbH in Auftrag gegebenen Studie die Berufsmotivation, der Berufseinstieg und -verbleib sowie die Anschlusspläne (zukünftiger) Absolventinnen und Absolventen eines berufsqualifizierenden Pflegestudiums erhoben und in Beziehung gesetzt zu den Erwartungen des Beschäftigungssystems an diese neue Ausbildungsform. Sicht der Studierenden für ihren Berufseinstieg und ihre beruflichen Anschlusspläne. Diese Daten werden im Spiegel der Experten-Aussagen zu den Anforderungen der Versorgungspraxis diskutiert. Dabei wird die individuelle Perspektive auf die eigene berufsbiographische Entwicklung in Beziehung zu der systemischen Sichtweise des Versorgungssystems gesetzt." (Autorenreferat ; BIBB-Doku)

"In 2020 the new law for nursing professions intends, in addition to vocational nursing training, to make a nursing degree which carries a professional qualification generally available. This is a change long demanded by various professional associations. Nursing training at the level of higher education has been available since 2003/2004 in the form of pilot projects, under what is known as the 'model clause' of existing laws governing the nursing professions. It will be beneficial to use experience gained from these pilot projects in implementing the upcoming reform. With this in mind, a study commissioned by the foundation Baden-Württemberg Stiftung gGmbH recorded data on the career motivation, career entry and retention, and future plans of (future) graduates of a nursing degree course which carries a professional qualification. This data was analysed in relation to the expectations of experts in the employment system regarding this new type of education/training. The research design included an online survey of nursing professionals who had a degree which included vocational training (N=76), as well as 11 interviews with experts in key positions in the nursing-care sector in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg concerning the new forms of nursing educatio. This paper presents findings from both parts of the study about nursing degrees that carry a professional qualification. It focuses on the students’ assessment of how relevant the degree course is to their career entry and future career plans. This data is discussed in relation to the experts’ statements on the requirements of nursing in practice. And the students’ own perspectives on their career development are assessed from the point of view of the health-care system as a whole." (author's abstract)
