Über Nutzen und Schaden des Philosophierens über das Selbstverständnis der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik - Anmerkungen aus wissenschaftssoziologisch inspirierter Sicht

Abstract

„Im Zentrum des Beitrags steht eine Analyse der Wissenschaftsdisziplin Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik mittels wissenschaftssoziologischer Modelle. Dazu erfolgt zunächst eine Rekapitulation der wissenschaftssoziologischen Sicht auf die sozialen Faktoren, die für die Entstehung und erfolgreiche Entwicklung von Wissenschaftsdisziplinen bestimmend sind. Anschließend wird der Status der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik anhand der Aspekte Kohärenz und Objektbereich der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik, „Weltbild“, Ziele der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit und Sozialisation der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogen und Außenlegitimität der Disziplin geprüft. Den Abschluss bilden einige Thesen zur Ambivalenz von „Selbstverständnisdebatten“ in einer „Wissenschaftsdisziplin.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

“The focus of this paper is an analysis of the academic discipline professional and vocational education and business studies through the use of sociological models. Firstly, there is a recapitulation of the academic sociological view of those social factors which are decisive for the origins and successful development of academic disciplines. Following this, the status of professional and vocational education and business studies is examined using the aspects of coherence and the object sphere of professional and vocational education and business studies, the ‘world-view’, the aims of the academic work and socialisation of academics working in the field and the external legitimacy of the discipline. The final part of the paper consists of several theses on the ambivalence of ‘debates on self-conception’ in an academic discipline.” (author’s abstract; BIBB-Doku)
