Organizational commitment, career factors and career/life stage

Abstract

"A model of organizational commitment was developed using, as independent variables, factors associated with self, with family and with career. Australian military officers (males only) were used as the research population (N=1300). All these factors were influential in explaining the variance in organizational commitment. Examination of the interplay of the independent variables across career/life stages gives insight into the dynamics of organizational commitment." (author's abtract) ((en)) In der Studie wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Faktoren zur Übereinstimmung mit einer Organisation führen. Dazu wurden 1300 australische Offiziere befragt. Neben ihren Einstellungen zum Militär wurde ermittelt, wie sich die Lebenssituation und der Berufsverlauf auswirken. (IAB)
