Beteiligungsformate für Eltern zur Unterstützung einer gendersensiblen Berufsorientierung im MINT-Bereich

Abstract

„Die Berufs- und Studienwahl ist als Teil des Sozialisationsprozesses eng mit der Sozialisation innerhalb der Familie verbunden. In der Vergangenheit wurde diesbezüglich dem Einfluss der Eltern oftmals zu wenig Beachtung geschenkt. Das vom BMBF geförderte Forschungsprojekt „investMINT - Familiärer Einfluss auf das MINT-Interesse von Töchtern und Konzeption aktiver Beteiligungsformate zur gendersensiblen Studien- und Berufsorientierung“ untersucht dazu u. a. Wünsche und Vorstellungen von Eltern, um ihre Töchter im Berufs- und Studienorientierungsprozess besser unterstützen zu können. Ziel ist, neue Erkenntnisse über die Rolle der Eltern im Prozess der Berufs- und Studienorientierung zu gewinnen und dadurch neue, interaktive Unterstützungsformate für eine gendersensible Berufsorientierung im MINT-Bereich zu entwickeln.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

„Vocational and study choices are closely linked to socialization within the family as part of the socialization process. In the past, however, the influence of parents has often received too little consideration. The BMBF-funded research project “investMINT – Familial influence on the STEM interest of daughters and the concept of active participation in gender-sensitive study and career orientation”, also investigates and considers the wishes and ideas of parents to better support their daughters in the job and study orientation process. The aim is to gain new insights into the role of parents in the process of career and study orientation and thereby to develop new interactive forms of support for gender-sensitive career orientation in the field of STEM.“ (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
