Abstract
(Autorenreferat ; BIBB-Doku)
"In vocational education and training, a large number of stakeholders are involved in execution of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), which must also be taken into account in the implementation process of ESD. This article looks at the chamber organizations and examines the question of what contribution they make to (structurally) anchoring ESD in training practice. The theoretical basis is formed by the results of pilot projects, transfer models and continuation approaches as well as the measuring of the status quo of ESD using indicators. The central result is that the chambers perform the implementation of ESD in a mediating and explanatory function, but are heterogeneously positioned. Many activities are offered to promote sustainable development. However, educational processes could be more clearly focused. Indicators on the implementation of ESD at the intermediate level of chamber would have a supporting effect." (author's abstract ; BIBB-Doku)
