Berufsbildung 4.0 - Fachkräftequalifikationen und Kompetenzen für die digitalisierte Arbeit von morgen : der Ausbildungsberuf "Verfahrensmechaniker/-in für Kunststoff- und Kautschuktechnik" im Screening

Abstract

"Digitale Technologien finden sich auch an den Arbeitsplätzen der Kunststoff- und Kautschukverarbeitung. Vor allem die Materialdisposition, Produktionsüberwachung und -steuerung sowie das Auftragsmanagement haben sich dadurch verändert, was sich auch auf die Tätigkeiten des Verfahrensmechanikers/ der Verfahrensmechanikerin für Kunststoff- und Kautschuktechnik (VKUK) auswirkt. Körperliche Arbeit nah am Produkt nimmt ab und wird ersetzt durch kognitive Tätigkeiten. Es sind daher neue Kompetenzen erforderlich, um die berufliche Handlungsfähigkeit zu erhalten. Diese sind neben den personalen/sozialen Kompetenzen vor allem Prozesswissen und der sichere Umgang mit Daten. Durch die offene und technikneutrale Formulierung der Ausbildungsordnung kann eine Vermittlung dieser Kompetenzen derzeit noch erfolgen. Der Beruf sollte jedoch weiter engmaschig beobachtet werden, weil abzusehen ist, dass er vor weiteren, tiefgreifenden Veränderungen (neue Produktionsverfahren) steht, welche Auswirkungen auf die Weiterentwicklung des Berufsbildes (Polarisierung) und/oder auf die Zielgruppe der möglichen Auszubildenden haben." Due to these technologies, above all, material planning, production monitoring and control as well as order management have changed, which also effects the work activities of the Mechanic in Plastics and Rubber Processing. Physical work close to the product decreases and is replaced by cognitive activities. New skills are therefore required in order to maintain the ability to act professionally. In addition to personal/social skills, these are above all process knowledge and the secure handling of data. The open and technology-neutral design of the respective training regulation grants that these competences can still be taught at present. However, the occupation should be closely monitored because it is foreseeable that it will face further far-reaching changes (new production processes), which will have an impact on the further development of the occupational profile (polarisation) and/or on the target group of potential trainees."
