Abstract
“This research article examines the extent to which the actors of extended school management (including principals, educational program coordinators, heads of departments/divisions) as multidimensional actors (Ewert 2019, 400) in the form of promoters (Witte 1973; Niermann/Palmas 2017) manage digitization processes in vocational schools – in times of the Corona pandemic. With a focus on organizational and cooperation development, promoters of digitization-related innovation processes and their interaction in the form of promoter structures are analyzed on the basis of two contrasting case studies of vocational schools in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The paper also considers the role of institutional as well as regional conditions and concludes by identifying multidimensional needs of the actors involved in the management of digitized school development.” (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
