Abstract

"Eine Länderstudie über die Berufsbildung in Griechenland stellt ein besonders interessantes Fallbeispiel dar, zum einen aufgrund der vorherrschenden Bildungstradition, die die allgemeine, akademisch ausgerichtete Bildung favorisiert, zum anderen wegen der wirtschaftlichen und politischen Entwicklungen der letzten Jahre und der Rückwirkung externer Einflüsse auf die institutionelle Ausgestaltung der Berufsbildung. Die Finanzkrise, die Griechenland mit aller Wucht getroffen hat, und die tiefe Rezession, die seit 2009 anhält, hat in den letzten Jahren zu unübersichtlichen Einschnitten in allen öffentlichen und privaten Lebensbereichen geführt und die Gesellschaft, Demografie, Arbeitswelt, Wirtschaftsstruktur und Politik des Landes nachhaltig verändert. Die Länderstudie geht auf wichtige Rahmenbedingungen und Bestimmungsfaktoren beruflicher Bildung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des landesspezifischen Kontexts ein und stellt aktuelle Reformansätze vor." (Hrsg., BIBB-Doku)"Vocational education and training in Greece is particularly interesting for two reasons: firstly because of the prevailing educational tradition which favours academic studies; and secondly because of the economic and political developments of recent years and their repercussions on the institutional structure of VET. The financial crisis, which hit Greece with full force, and the deep recession that followed, led to a confusing array of cuts across both public and private sectors, and brought about sustained change to the country’s society, demography, labour market, economy and politics. This country study addresses the major factors shaping vocational education and training and presents current approaches towards reform, in a radically transformed national context."
