Abstract

„This article focuses on work-study models at Bachelor's and Master's degree and aims to generate a substantial transfer of practice that contributes to needs-based professionalization in teacher education (Brückner, 2023). Based on theory- and evidence-based didactics, it identifies success factors and challenges for the conception of these models and places them in the context of current developments. Using a mixed-methods approach, empirical data from three study cohorts of vocational teacher training are analyzed. The results address a target-oriented interweaving of organization and digitalization (Horstmann, 2022) and the relevance of a transformation from face-to-face formats to digital offerings (Jung et al., 2021). The overall findings of this article refer on the one hand to the potential of the existing study concept and, on the other hand, correspond to course-specific preferences with regard to future formats, for example in the context of hybrid teaching.“ (author‘s abstract; BIBB-Doku)
