Motive für die Wahl des Studiengangs Wirtschaftspädagogik : Vergleichende Analysen für die Studiengänge Wirtschaftspädagogik, Grund-, Haupt- und Realschullehramt sowie Betriebswirtschaftslehre

Abstract

“Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht Studienwahlmotive angehender Studierender des Studiengangs Wirtschaftspädagogik und vergleicht diese mit den verwandten Studiengängen Grund-, Haupt- und Realschullehramt sowie Betriebswirtschaftslehre (BWL) auf der Basis von Fragebogendaten von insgesamt 493 angehenden Studierenden. Die Ergebnisse zeigen hypothesenkonform, dass sich angehende Wirtschaftspädagogikstudierende eher aufgrund intrinsischer Motive für den Studiengang entscheiden und dass sie, sowohl hinsichtlich einzelner Motive als auch mit Blick auf Motivprofile, eine Zwischenposition zwischen Grund-, Haupt- und Realschullehramts- sowie BWL-Studierenden, mit einer Tendenz in Richtung Lehramtsstudierende, einnehmen. In der BWL fällt nur das Studienwahlmotiv Gehalt und Prestige höher aus als im Lehramt.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

„This paper investigates study choice motivations of prospective business education students and compares them with study choice motivations for the related elementary and lower secondary school teacher training program as well as for the related business administration program based on questionnaire data of a total of 493 prospective students. Consistent with our hypotheses, the results show that prospective business education students rather choose their study program based on intrinsic motivations and that, both in terms of specific motives as well as in terms of motive profiles, they take on an intermediate position between elementary and lower secondary school teacher students on the one hand and business administration students on the other hand, with a greater proximity to the teaching students.
