Der Stellenwert sowie die Beratung von Eltern jugendlicher Schülerinnen und Schüler in der Berufsorientierungsphase : ein aktuelles Handlungsfeld für die Erwachsenenbildung

Abstract

"Die Phase der Berufsorientierung stellt für viele Jugendliche eine große Herausforderung dar. Wichtigste Ratgeber in dem Prozess der beruflichen Orientierung sind nach wie vor die Eltern, doch sind diese häufig aufgrund der Entwicklungen des Bildungssystems sowie der Differenzierung der Berufsfelder selbst sehr stark gefordert und manchmal auch überfordert. Eltern benötigen daher immer öfter selbst Beratung, damit sie ihre Kinder im Prozess der Berufsorientierung beraten können. Viele bestehende Angebote erreichen die Eltern jedoch nicht bzw. entsprechen nicht ihren Erwartungen und Bedürfnissen. Hier zeigt sich ein aktuelles Handlungsfeld für die Erwachsenenbildung, das an dieser Stelle ansetzt und Angebote im Themenfeld der Berufsorientierung unter dem Gesichtspunkt neu konzipiert, Eltern als wesentliche Partner und als lernende Erwachsene anzusehen." The most important advisors in the process of the professional orientation are still the parents, but advising their children are often too demanding due to complex education system as well as the strong differentiation of the occupational fields and sometimes it can also be overwhelming. Hence, parents more and more often feel the need for consultation, so that they can support their children in the process of the occupational orientation. Nevertheless, many existing offers in this field do not reach the parents, or do not correspond to their expectations and needs. Here appears a topical sphere of activity for the adult education which targets this point and conceives offers in the field of occupational orientation based in the perspective of seeing parents as essential partners and as adult learners."
