Abstract
(Autorenreferat ; BIBB-Doku)
"The chapter shows ways in which the acquisition of reading fluency can be supported in basic education courses for adults with low literacy levels. Based on classroom observations, suggestions are developed for the integration of reading-aloud routines in reading situations at word, sentence and text level. Subsequently, considerations are presented as to how the metacognitive resources of adult learners can be included in (remedial) reading acquisition and how their emotional-motivational support in remedial situations could be designed using phonics reading techniques. The empirical data in this article were collected as part of the BMBF-Project “Acquisition of reading fluency in low-literate adults. Explorative investigation of learning opportunities and their use (LegelitE)”." (Authors abstract ; BIBB-Doku)
