Abstract

(Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)
„Learning Management Systems (LMS) are a central component of contemporary personnel development. They enable individual competence development “on the job“, thus contributing to lifelong learning for employees and the adaptability of organizations. A prerequisite for this is that they enable tailored learning content and processes that align with the needs of the employees. A helpful concept for this is the "participant-oriented technology acceptance" model. It combines the didactic principle of participant orientation with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and conceptually supports the selection of content and the design of eLearning units. Evaluationally, it assists in assessing the fit of the LMS in terms of participant acceptance. Our findings show that particularly user-oriented content selection and usability-focused system design are crucial for the frequency of use and the employees' satisfaction with the LMS and the learning content.“ (authors‘ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
