Abstract
„How can educational innovations be implemented in literacy/basic education? Which form of innovative teaching-learning concepts are suitable? - The article presents a learning game as an example for changing teaching-learning processes in basic education. The learning game is oriented towards the socially relevant question of how lowliterate adults can be won over for further education and how competence building can be stimulated. With a playful approach to learning content, a high level of participant retention and favourable learning prognoses can be realised. In the presented learning game “Monetto: Das Spiel rund ums Geld” [Monetto: The Money Game], learning opportunities are offered on the basis of everyday situations in dealing with money, guided by theory and with recourse to a validated competence model for the basic education sector.“ (authors‘ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
