Abstract
„Funding programmes in (vocational) education are geared towards the development of innovations to strengthen vocational education and training. The problem of transfer is not new, but transfer research has so far provided insufficient findings on the sustainability of the transfer of educational innovations between research and practice. In the context of educational programmes aimed at sustainable innovations, research-based knowledge that is transferred into educational practice is sometimes criticised as being far removed from practice or irrelevant. In addition, the educational offers developed in practical projects often fail to become permanent, meaning that they cannot be used after the end of the funding period. Design-based research (DBR) is an approach for bringing about innovations in practice. It focusses on scientific-practical cooperation and aims to address complex problems through innovative, useful and practical developments. The prototype to be developed creates a possible solution for supporting the transfer of innovation in the nationwide InnoVET programme (BMBF). The article presents the results of the development phase of a prototype: after discussing the state of research on programme structures, design research and transfer as a central task of accompanying research at programme level, a context analysis for InnoVET as an exemplary innovation programme in vocational education and training is carried out (preliminary study). Based on the theoretical framework, the evaluation of experiences, best-practice examples and expert interviews, excerpts of a prototype for accompanying research on the programme geared towards translation and exchange (conceptual phase) will be developed.“ (authors‘ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
