Welche Bedeutung hat eine Berufsausbildung für Jugendliche? : Eine historische Annäherung

Abstract

"Junge Menschen ergreifen immer seltener eine Ausbildung in einem Betrieb; dadurch fehlen Fachkräfte und die betriebliche Nachfolge ist gefährdet. Die vorliegende Untersuchung will Hinweise beibringen, ob eine betriebliche Ausbildung überhaupt noch im Blickfeld junger Menschen liegt. Dazu werden historische Situationen einer betrieblichen Ausbildung sowie Situationen von jugendlichen Lebenswelten unter dem Fokus der arbeitsweltbezogenen Sozialisation analysiert. Welche gesellschaftliche Aufgabe erfüllt eine betriebliche Ausbildung heute, welche erfüllte sie früher? Wie schätzen junge Menschen diese Aufgabe heute für ihren Lebensweg ein und welche Bedeutung hatte sie früher?" (Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)

"Young people are less and less likely to take up vocational training in a company; as a result, there is a shortage of skilled workers and succession in the company is at risk. The present study aims to provide indications as to whether in-company training is still in young people‘s field of vision at all. For this purpose, historical situations of in-company training as well as situations of young people‘s lifeworlds are analysed under the focus of socialisation related to the world of work. What social task does in-company training fulfil today, and what task did it fulfil in the past?
