Abstract
(Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)
"This paper discusses the theory-based development and evaluation of the virtual learning and working environment VILA. VILA was developed for the vocational training and the continuing education of professionals in the field of industrial services. The results of the evaluation with (prospective) service technicians in the commercial and technical fields (n = 62) as well as students in vocational and technical education (n = 72) indicate that the virtual learning and working environment VILA with its technological and functional options as well as its methodical and didactic concept makes the central requirements for the situational and flexible learning possible, and it is positively perceived by the participants regarding usability, spatial presence and flow experience. In a structural model, it is shown, that the perceived spatial presence mainly determines the flow experience in the virtual setting."
