Berufsfachschulausbildung als Einstiegsqualifizierung für die Frühe Bildung?

Abstract

"The professions of Childcare Assistant and Social Assistant belong to the lower qualification segment in the social and educational field and are located in the system of vocational schools. Persons with these qualifications play a significant role in early childhood education and care centres (ECEC) (Kindertageseinrichtungen). They comprise the second largest group in the structural composition of the workforce - following the educators (Erzieher:innen). Based on qualification and examination regulations, which in Germany are governed by law, first of all entry requirements and professional awards of the 16 states (Bundesländer) are compared and new developments in the qualification system are presented. Furthermore, differences in terms of the basic qualification requirements for Childcare Assistants and Social Assistants are examined as well as the permeability and connectivity of these qualification formats into the vocational college route of educators as a potential career. The purpose of this article is to clarify the status of these vocational school trainings for the field of early education in Germany." Sie haben sich insbesondere in den Kindertageseinrichtungen durchgesetzt. Dort stellen sie die zweit größte Gruppe im Qualifikationsgefüge - nach den Erzieher:innen - dar. Anhand der in Deutschland landesrechtlich geregelten Ausbildungs- und Prüfungsverordnungen wird zunächst ein Vergleich der Zulassungsvoraussetzungen und beruflichen Abschlüsse in den einzelnen Bundesländern durchgeführt und es werden neue Entwicklungen im Ausbildungssystem dargestellt. Untersucht werden die Unterschiede zwischen den Ausbildungsgängen Kinderpflege und Sozialassistenz als grundständige Berufsqualifikation sowie die Durchlässigkeit und Anschlussfähigkeit der Ausbildungsformate in die fachschulische Erzieher:innenausbildung als mögliche Bildungskarriere.
