Zur inhaltlichen Ausrichtung der universitären berufs- und wirtschaftspädagogischen Forschung in Österreich – zehn Jahre Forschungsdokumentation im Überblick

Abstract

„Disziplinäre Selbstvergewisserung lässt sich prinzipiell wissenschaftstheoretisch i. S. einer wissenschaftslogischen und normativen Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen der Gegenstandsbestimmung, des Erkenntnisziels und der forschungsmethodischen Ausrichtung und empirisch-sozialwissenschaftlich, auf wissenschaftspsychologische und -soziologische Erkenntnisinteressen gerichtet, betreiben. Zur dominierenden Form der Selbstreflexion in der Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik gehörte in der Vergangenheit wohl erstere. Einen umfangreichen Versuch, die berufs- und wirtschaftspädagogische Forschungspraxis, mit Fokus auf ihre kommunikative Praxis der Publikation von Forschungsergebnissen, auch empirisch zu „vermessen“, unternahm für die deutsche Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik KLUSMEYER 2001. Eine ähnliche Studie steht für die österreichische Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik noch aus, scheint allerdings umso notwendiger, kreuzt man die zu großen Teilen trilaterale Diskurspraxis im deutschsprachigen Raum mit der verbreiteten Meinung, der österreichischen Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik sei etwas distinkt Besonderes zu eigen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die Ergebnisse einer empirischen Studie vorgestellt, die in Orientierung am methodischen Konzept KLUSMEYERs eine thematische Klassifikation der österreichischen universitären berufs- und wirtschaftspädagogischen Forschungsdokumentation versucht, um auch die wissenschaftstheoretischen Bestimmungsversuche in Österreich mit empirischem Gehalt zu unterlegen. Hierfür wurden über 350 Publikationen aus dem Zeitraum 1999 - 2008 hinsichtlich ihrer inhaltlichen Schwerpunktsetzung ausgewertet und kategorisiert.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

“Disciplinary self-recognition can be developed in principle in two ways: in academic-theoretical terms, in the sense of a scientifically logical and normative examination of questions regarding defining the object, the aims of the research and the research methods used, and in an empirical and social science-based approach, which aims at insights into the psychology and sociology of research. One of the dominant forms of self-reflection in the pedagogy of vocational education and training and business studies was in the past likely the former. One comprehensive attempt also to empirically ‘measure’ research practice, with a focus on the communicative practice of the publication of research outcomes in the area of pedagogy of vocational education and training and business studies was undertaken by KLUSMEYER 2001. As yet there is no similar study for the Austrian field, but it seems all the more necessary if one combines the trilateral discourse practice in the German-speaking countries with the widely-held view that the Austrian field has particular special features. This paper presents the results of an empirical study which, in alignment with the method concept of KLUSMEYER, attempts a thematic classification of the Austrian university research documentation in the field of pedagogy of vocational education and training and business studies. One of the aims of this is to add empirical weight to the attempts to determine research theory in this field in Austria. In order to do this more than 350 publications from the period 1999-2008 were analysed and categorized according to the main emphasis of their content.” (author’s abstract; BIBB-Doku)
