Als Beitrag zu einem internationalen Forschungsprojekt zur Beschäftigungsförderung Behinderter beschreibt die Studie Politiken, Programme und Massnahmen, die in Deutschland zur Erhaltung von Arbeitsplätzen oder zur beruflichen Reintegration nach Eintritt einer Behinderung beitragen sollen. They cover five themes: employment and labour market policies; benefit and compensation programmes; employment support and rehabilitation services; adaptation of work and workplace; and measures developed and implemented by the enterprise. In line with the research aim of identifying coherent and co-ordinated strategies, the informants both comment on dysfunctions in national systems which obstruct job retention efforts and identify links between themes."
