Abstract
„In what they are, what they can do and what they want, vocational trainees are characterized by great diversity. A key factor that, in addition to the heterogeneity of the target group, increases the need to rethink traditional vocational training concepts is Work 4.0. However, companies that provide vocational training often do not yet adequately meet the requirements. The following article uses “Personalized Vocational Training” to explain an approach that offers practitioners in corporate vocational training a frame of reference on the path to future- and diversity-oriented vocational training. To this end, current framework conditions resulting from the requirements of vocational trainees and the world of work are reflected from an entrepreneurial perspective and, building on this, the origins, objectives and differentiation of the concept from other approaches are presented. In addition to the theoretical embedding of the core instruments of “Personalized Vocational Training” – the portfolio discussions and elective modules – the success factors of the concept are derived on the basis of initial studies and experience.“ (authors‘ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
