Ökonomisierung: Programm oder Problem?

Abstract

"Prozesse der Ökonomisierung durchdringen Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Individuen. Sie verändern Gesellschaften und Wirtschaften etwa durch Vermarktlichung, Entrepreneurialisierung, hohe Renditeerwartungen, Ökonomisierungspolitik und Ökonomisierungsnarrative, durch Steigerung von Wirtschaftlichkeit, Berechenbarkeit, Finanzialisierung und Digitalisierung. Personen erfahren Ökonomisierung u. a. als Selbstrationalisierung und Selbstökonomisierung. Der Beitrag skizziert diese Prozesse aus sozialwissenschaftlicher Sicht und zeigt, dass Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik sowie Wirtschaftsdidaktik eine systematische und vor allem kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Ökonomisierung bisher versäumt haben. Als Thema fehlt Ökonomisierung auch in der dualen Berufsausbildung, obwohl die jungen Menschen in ihrer Berufs- und Bürgerrolle mehrfach davon betroffen sind. Der Beitrag kritisiert die Naturalisierung von Ökonomisierung, plädiert für eine politische Berufsbildung und fordert die Disziplinen zur kritischen Selbstreflexion auf." (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

"Processes of economization pervade society, economy and individuals. They change societies and economies, for example, through marketisation, entrepreneurialisation, high-yield-seeking, economisation policy and narratives of economisation, increasing cost effectiveness, predictability, financialisation and digitalisation. Persons experience economisation amongst other things as self-rationalisation and self-economisation. The paper outlines these processes from a social science perspective and shows that vocational and business education pedagogics as well as economic education didactics have so far failed to deal systematically and above all critically with economisation. Economisation as a topic is missing in dual vocational training, although young people are numerously affected in their professional and civic roles. The article criticises the naturalisation of economisation, argues for a political vocational education and asks the disciplines to start a critical self-reflection." (author's abstract; BIBB-Doku)
