„Wenn ich [mir] Mühe gebe und etwas mache, dann erreiche ich mein Ziel!“ - Perspektiven auf die Ausbildung durch Zugewanderte und Ausbildungsbetriebe

Abstract

„Infolge reproduktiver Ungleichheitsprozesse und -strukturen sind Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen sowohl beim Zugang zum Ausbildungsmarkt (vgl. Autorengruppe Bildungsberichterstattung 2020) als auch in der Ausbildung benachteiligt, was sich etwa in differentiellen Zugangs-, Abschluss- und Abbruchquoten zeigt (vgl. Uhly 2020). Die Situation stellt sich zusätzlich durch vielfach unklare Bleibeperspektiven sowie pandemiebedingt fragil dar. Gleichzeitig besteht ein Fachkräftemangel, sodass Ausbildungsbetriebe vermehrt Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen in Mangelberufen ausbilden. Der Beitrag diskutiert, ob und in welchem Ausmaß dies den Abbau von Ungleichheit im Sinne von Inklusion unterstützt oder stattdessen benachteiligende Strukturen reproduziert. Im Beitrag werden Perspektiven von befragten Auszubildenden mit Flucht- und Migrationserfahrung (n=33) zu ihren Wünschen, Erwartungen und Erfahrungen vor und nach der Migration und bei ihrer Berufswahl den Motivationen von befragten Ausbildungsbetrieben (n=6) zur Ausbildung von Geflüchteten und Zugewanderten gegenübergestellt.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

“As a result of reproductive inequality processes and structures, refugees and migrants are disadvantaged both in terms of access to the training market (vgl. Autorengruppe Bildungsberichterstattung 2020) and in training itself, which is reflected in differential access, completion and drop-out rates (vgl. Uhly 2020). The situation is also fragile due to the often unclear prospects of staying in Germany and the pandemic. At the same time, there is a shortage of skilled workers, so that training companies are increasingly training refugees and migrants in shortage occupations. The article discusses if and to what extent this supports in a win-win situation the reduction of inequality in sense of inclusion or whether discriminating structures are reproduced. In the article, perspectives of interviewed trainees with refugee and migration experience (n=33) on their wishes, expectations and experiences before and after migration and in their choices of occupations are contrasted with the motivations of interviewed training companies (n=6) for hiring refugees and migrants.” (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
