Abstract
„Since the work-based paradigm shift didactics based on work and business processes have been established in VET. This paper explores the question if these didactics are still sufficient in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world of work and how they may be developed further. Based on evidence about the future of work the author first compiles requirements of future VET didactics. Against this background she identifies limitations of current work and business process-based didactics – notably a lack of learner centricity and flexibility. Subsequently, she presents concepts from work psychology and sociology, business administration and VET pedagogics which aim to meet these demands. They all assume that employees‘ subjective agency will be key to flexibility and innovation. Finally, the author outlines possible main features of dynamic learner-centred didactics which consider work and business processes as medium of learners’ vocational identity development.“ (author’s abstract; BIBB-Doku)
