"Der Artikel beschreibt die didaktische Rolle und Anwenudung der Kompetenzorientierung im Berliner Willkommenscurriculum für Neuzugewanderte in der schulischen Berufsbildung. Das Curriculum bezieht sich auf zwei grundlegende Standardsysteme: auf den Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenrahmen für Sprachen und den Deutschen Qualifikationsrahmen, die auf Kompetenzbeschreibungen basieren und auf Handlungskompetenzen fokussieren." "The article outlines the Welcome-Curriculum as an instrument for the orientation of (language) competence in school education. It aims to support vocational training for the target group of newly arrived immigrants (refugees) in the transition from school to work and professional life. This article depicts the Welcome-Curriculum as an instrument to boost language competence orientation in school education. Commissioned by the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Science and Research, it constitutes a supportive system for those persons who are making a transition from school to work. The curriculum has been created as a didactic guideline for teachers, for the development of language competence, subject-related expertise knowledge as well as further competencies of the learners in the welcome-classes as the first step of a two-year preparation course of vocational training at business and vocational colleges. The curriculum is based on standards for: 1. the development of communicative competencies - on the language acquisition levels A1-A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR), 2. The description of professionals' skills of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) - levels 2-3 of the EQF apply to the welcome-classes. The focus of the welcome-curriculum lies on the mechanism of language acquisition ans on the linguistic differentiation of job-related contents which is a result of the continuously analysed needs by the teachers of Vocational Training."
