Ausbildungs(in)adäquanz als Mediator von Bildungserträgen - Unterwertige Beschäftigung und soziale Ungleicheit : ein Forschungsüberblick

Abstract

"Ausbildungsinadäquate oder auch unterwertige Beschäftigung liegt vor, wenn die im Ausbildungssystem erworbenen Qualifikationen und Kompetenzen die Anforderungen der ausgeübten Beschäftigung am Arbeitsmarkt übersteigen. Demzufolge können Bildungsinvestitionen nicht angemessen verwertet und in angemessene Bildungserträge umgewandelt werden. Das Risiko, nicht entsprechend seiner erworbenen Fähigkeiten und Kompetenzen beschäftigt zu sein, variiert jedoch mit verschiedenen Einflussfaktoren und ist somit in der Bevölkerung ungleich verteilt. Damit einhergehend sind auch die Folgen inadäquater Beschäftigung auf bestimmte soziale Gruppen konzentriert, wodurch soziale Ungleichheiten in der Gesellschaft produziert bzw. reproduziert und damit weiter gefestigt werden. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird dieser Zusammenhang anhand bestehender empirischer Befunde aufgezeigt und umfassend beleuchtet." The risk of being employed inadequately varies with diverse determinants and is consequently unequally distributed in the society. Therefore, the consequences of inadequate employment are concentrated on certain social groups, which (re-)produces social inequalities in societies. This paper focuses on this relation and explores - based on empirical evidence - the embeddedness of determinants and consequences of inadequate employment in the context of the (re)production of social inequality."
