Braucht es geprüfte Berufsspezialist:innen im IT-Bereich? Wenn ja, welche und wie viele?

Abstract

„In Vorbereitung auf ein Neuordnungsverfahren für das bundesweit gültige IT-Weiterbildungssystem (IT-WBS), dass die drei Ebenen „IT-Spezialisten“, „Operative Professionals“ und „Strategische Professionals“ umfasst, hat das Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) eine Voruntersuchung durchgeführt, welche die erste Ebene in den Fokus nahm. Insbesondere die folgenden Fragen sollten in diesem Zusammenhang geklärt werden: Besteht im IT-Bereich ein Bedarf für Qualifizierung auf der Ebene der Berufsspezialist:innen? Wie ist die betriebliche Bedarfslage für Fortbildungsabschlüsse auf dieser Ebene? Wie ist die Bedarfslage vonseiten der Arbeitnehmer:innen für eine Qualifizierung auf dieser Ebene? Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick zu den Hintergründen und Ergebnissen dieser Voruntersuchung und leitet daraus Empfehlungen für eine Novellierung der Fortbildungsordnung im IT-Bereich ab.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)“On the way to the updating procedure for the nationwide IT continuing education and training system (IT-Weiterbildungssystem), which comprises the three levels of "IT specialists", "operational professionals" and "strategic professionals", the Federal In stitute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) conducted a preliminary investi gation that focused on the first level. In particular, the following questions were to be clarified in this context: Is there a need for qualification at the vocational specialist level in the IT sector? What is the demand situation in companies for further training qualifications at this level? What is the demand situation on the part of the employees for a qualification on this level?
