Abstract
„Due to a simultaneous transformation, organizations are confronted with a permanent change process. In order to be economically sustainable, they are dependent on individual learning paths also being included in organizational development processes. New operational work and organizational concepts are required to counter conflicts of objectives between this dual perspective of economic and social sustainability. The concept of shared leadership has been developed as a specific modern form of work organization. The model proves to be particularly promising regarding the various learning and development needs: on the one hand, because conditions that promote learning and skills are implicit in the model and, on the other hand, because managers can make a sustainable contribution to linking skills and organizational processes. This article discusses the opportunities and challenges of shared leadership models regarding the various dimensions of sustainability based on empirical findings.“ (authors‘ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
