Abstract
Der Beitrag erläutert die begrifflichen Grundlagen des Kompetenzerwerbs und beschreibt den aktuellen Stand der Messung sowie der Sichtbarmachung von Kompetenzen. Zunächst wird zwischen formal erworbenen Kompetenzen und non-formal erworbenen unterschieden. Wie verdeutlicht wird, ist dieser Unterschied entscheidend für die Möglichkeiten der Sichtbarmachung solcher Kompetenzen von Migrantinnen und Migranten in Deutschland. Ein rechtsverbindliches und bundesweites Instrument besteht bisher nur für im Ausland erworbene Berufsqualifikationen. Im Anschluss werden - unter Bezugnahme auf die weiteren Beiträge im Band - verschiedene Modelle der Sichtbarmachung und Zertifizierung von Kompetenzen diskutiert. Angesichts der vielen in letzter Zeit entstandenen sowie weiter entstehenden Instrumenten und Projekten kann diese kurze Übersicht nur eine Momentaufnahme bieten. Darüber hinaus bietet der Beitrag jedoch ein Raster zum besseren Verständnis von Instrumenten zur Kompetenzdiagnostik anhand von sechs Dimensionen an. (BIBB-Doku)
"Book contribution IV.1 introduces section IV. It explains the terminology of competence acquisition and describes the current status of the measuring and determination of competences. First, the contribution distinguishes between competences acquired formally and non-formally or informally. As explained, this distinction is essential for the possibilities of making competences of migrants in Germany visible. So far, a legally binding and nation-wide instrument exists only for qualifications obtained abroad. With regard to the other contributions in the section, different models of measuring and certification of competences are discussed. Given that many instruments and projects were developed only recently, and still are, it's only possible to give a snapshot of the situation. However, the contribution also provides a systematic tool along six dimensions for better understanding instruments of measuring competences." (BIBB-Doku)
