| dc.description.abstract | Der Sammelband ist eine weitere Veröffentlichung der OECD im Rahmen des INES-Projekts, in dem seit Mitte der achtziger Jahre daran gearbeitet wird, ein weltweit gültiges und anwendbares System von Indikatoren für die Beurteilung von Erziehungs- und Bildungsprozessen sowie -systemen zu schaffen. In insgesamt 18 Kapiteln werden sowohl historische, pädagogische wie auch wissenschaftstheoretische Aspekte eines solchen Indikatorensystems dargestellt. Einige Beiträge befassen sich mit methodischen Aspekten der Entwicklung von Indikatoren, andere greifen bildungspolitische Aspekte auf. Das Buch gliedert sich in vier Hauptabschnitte: (1) Geschichte und Definition von Indikatoren, (2) Entwicklung von Indikatoren, (3) Indikatoren für den Bildungserfolg und (4) Interpretation von Indikatoren für die Politik.
