Abstract

"Angesichts rasanter technologischer Entwicklungen und einer umfassenden Digitalisierung von Gesellschaft und Arbeitswelt gewinnt lebensbegleitendes Lernen zunehmend an Bedeutung. Nichtakademische und hochschulische Bildungsangebote in Form von Distance Learning / Distance Education bieten dabei ein etabliertes didaktisches Format, um (Weiter-)Bildung mit Erwerbstätigkeit, familiären Verpflichtungen oder aber auch Einschränkungen in der Mobilität vereinbaren zu können. Das BIBB erhebt daher seit 2016 - zunächst im Rahmen einer Revision der Fernunterrichtsstatistik - bei den Anbietern entsprechender Bildungsangebote jährlich Daten zur Anbieter-, Angebots- und Teilnahmeentwicklung. In der vorliegenden Publikation werden die Ergebnisse der diesjährigen Erhebung "Strukturdaten Distance Learning/Distance Education 2019" vorgestellt." Well established learning and didactic approaches, such as distance learning and distance education, support learners in arranging their continuing vocational and academic education along employment, family commitments or mobile disabilities requirements. Since 2016 - and in the first time within a revision of the former statistics of distance learning and distance education - the Federal Institute for Vocational Training and Education (BIBB) therefore conducts annual surveys in order to offer an annual database about the developments of providers, learning opportunities and participants in this didactic field.
