Abstract
“This paper aims to sketch out the didactic potential of cross-border arrangements for developing vocational competence. This is done using the example of work experience as one variant of ‘cross-border learning’. In this paper, the concept of ‘cross-border learning’ is introduced and justified in a broader conceptual way. This is supported by activity theory and micro-political concepts as well as by the analytical perspective of ‘situated learning’. The aim is to display the spectrum of the aspects that need to be considered in terms of didactics with regard to the preparation, guidance and analysis of periods of work experience.” (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
