Risiken eines neuen digital divide im Zuge der Entgrenzung des Lernens durch Plattformen

Abstract

„Der Begriff „Entgrenzung“ etablierte sich spätestens in den 1990er Jahren im Kontext sich wandelnder Arbeitsformen und -organisationen. Gegenwärtig verlieren im Zuge fortschreitender Digitalisierung und der wachsenden Bedeutung von Plattformen bisherige (Sinn-)Grenzen zwischen den verschiedenen sozialen Teilsystemen immer stärker an Strukturierungskraft, und zwar gleichermaßen auf der zeitlichen, sozialen und räumlichen Ebene. Während der Entgrenzungsbegriff vornehmlich auf die Aufweichung bisheriger Organisationsformen von Arbeit und Lernen verweist, folgt der Text der Annahme, dass (Lern-) Plattformen als neue Strukturierungsform an Bedeutung gewinnen. Plattformen generieren neue bislang unwahrscheinliche Netzwerkeffekte, die – so die These des Beitrags – neue Ungleichheiten und Optimierungserwartungen an das lernende Subjekt provozieren. “The term "dissolution of boundaries" was established in the 1990s at the latest in the context of changing forms and organizations of work. At present, in the course of advancing digitization and the growing importance of platforms, previous (meaning) boundaries between the various social subsystems are increasingly losing their structuring power, equally on the temporal, social and spatial level. While the concept of dissolution of boundaries primarily refers to the softening of previous forms of organization of work and learning, the text follows the assumption that (learning) platforms are gaining importance as a new form of structuring. Platforms generate new, hitherto improbable network effects, which - according to the thesis of the article - provoke new inequalities and optimization expectations of the learning subject.
