Abstract
(Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)
"Dual vocational education and training has a high degree of importance in Germany. It makes a major contribution towards securing a supply of young skilled workers and opens up a wide range of professional development and career pathways for young adults. The quality of the training that takes place within the companies plays a significant role in this regard. Continually changing general conditions require ongoing quality assurance, although they also particularly pose the question of how the quality of company-based vocational education and training can fundamentally be conceived. The present paper addresses this issue on the basis of existing concepts relating to company training quality. The attempts at clarification undertaken are condensed in a differentiated way for input and output quality to core models via a comparative analysis. The empirical investigation of the models underlines the complex multi-dimensional structure of the quality construct in company-based vocational education and training."
