Strukturdaten Distance Learning/Distance Education 2017

Abstract

"Angesichts rasanter technologischer Entwicklungen und einer umfassenden Digitalisierung von Gesellschaft und Arbeitswelt gewinnt lebensbegleitendes Lernen zunehmend an Bedeutung. Bildungsangebote in Form von Distance Learning/Distance Education bieten dabei ein etabliertes didaktisches Format, um (Weiter-)Bildung mit Erwerbstätigkeit, familiären Verpflichtungen oder Einschränkungen in der Mobilität vereinbaren zu können. Seit 1984 stellt die Fernunterrichtsstatistik Strukturdaten zu Anbieter-, Angebots- und Teilnahmeentwicklung in diesem Bildungssegment bereit, die jährlich auf freiwilliger Basis bei den Anbietern erhoben werden. Im Rahmen eines vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) geförderten Projektes führte das Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) im Zeitraum 09/2015-08/2017 eine grundlegende Revision dieser Statistik durch. Dabei erfolgte auch ihre Umbenennung. In der vorliegenden Publikation werden die Ergebnisse der diesjährigen Erhebung "Strukturdaten Distance Learning/Distance Education 2017" vorgestellt." Well established learning and didactic approaches, such as distance learning and distance education, support learners in arranging their continuing education along employment, family commitments or mobile disabilities requirements. Since 1984 the statistics of distance learning and distance education offer an annual data base about the developments of providers, learning opportunities and participants in this didactic field. Within a project, which was enabled by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and ran from 09/2015-08/2017, the Federal Institute of Vocational Education (BIBB) conducted a comprehensive revision of this statistics and renamed it.
