Der Whole Institution Approach als Prozessansatz ganzheitlicher Unternehmensentwicklung im Kontext einer Berufsbildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung

Abstract

„Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird die Zusammenführung einer Berufsbildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BBNE) mit dem Whole Institution Approach (WIA) als integrierte Implementierungsstrategie einer ganzheitlichen Unternehmensentwicklung zur Diskussion gestellt. Ausgangspunkt dabei ist, dass der WIA einen systematischen Rahmen für die Verankerung von Nachhaltigkeit über die sechs Handlungsfelder partizipative und proaktive Steuerung, Ausbildungsplan und Gestaltung betrieblicher Lernprozesse, Bildungslandschaft und Netzwerke, Bewirtschaftung (Management und Betrieb), Fortbildung und Personalentwicklung sowie interne und externe Kommunikation zu Nachhaltigkeit vorlegt. Die diskursive Analyse zeigt, dass diese Handlungsfelder synergetisch wirken und damit eine sozial-ökologische Transformation der Organisationskultur ermöglichen können. Der Beitrag diskutiert Erfolgsfaktoren, formuliert Forschungsdesiderate und empfiehlt den WIA als Qualitätsmaßstab für eine nachhaltigkeitsorientierte Berufsbildung sowie als Grundlage eines Instruments zur Evaluation der sozial-ökologischen Transformation in und von Unternehmen.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

„This article discusses the combination of vocational education for sustainable development (VETESD) with the Whole Institution Approach (WIA) as an integrated and holistic implementation strategy for corporate development. The starting point is that the WIA provides a systematic framework for anchoring sustainability across six areas of action: participatory and proactive management, training plans and the design of corporate learning processes, educational landscape and networks, management (administration and operations), further education and personnel development, and internal and external communication on sustainability. Discursive analysis shows that these areas of action have a synergetic effect and can thus enable a socio-ecological transformation of organizational culture. The article discusses success factors, formulates research desiderata and recommends the WIA as a quality benchmark for sustainability-oriented vocational education and as the basis for an instrument to evaluate socio-ecological transformation in and by companies.” (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
