Innovationsorientierung von Trainer:innen im Berufsfeld Fahrzeugtechnik in überbetrieblichen Bildungsstätten (ÜBS)

Abstract

„Überbetriebliche Bildungsstätten (ÜBS) sind insbesondere im Handwerk ein zentraler Bestandteil des dualen Berufsbildungssystems. Sie ergänzen die betriebliche Ausbildung, indem sie Qualifikationen vermitteln, die kleinere Betriebe aufgrund begrenzter Ressourcen oder Spezialisierungen oft nicht abdecken können. Zudem gelten ÜBS als Innovationszentren bei der Diffusion neuer Technologien, allerdings fehlen bislang Studien zu deren Innovationskraft. Nachfolgende Untersuchung fragt nach der Innovationsorientierung von Trainer:innen in ÜBS, verstanden als berufsspezifisches Handeln auf Kurs- bzw. Mikroebene und Institutions- bzw. Mesoebene. Die Innovationsorientierung bildet dabei eine notwendige, jedoch noch keine hinreichende Bedingung für die Einführung und Verbreitung von Innovationen in den Ausbildungsbetrieben selbst. Ziel des Beitrags ist die Erfassung eines Teilpotenzials für Innovation, nicht des Innovationstransfers selbst. Im Fokus steht hierbei die Fahrzeugtechnik, ein zentrales ÜBS-Feld, welches stark von technologischen Umbrüchen betroffen ist. Trainer:innen in ÜBS weisen einerseits eine Innovationorientierung in fachlichen und didaktischen Bereichen auf. Es besteht jedoch Entwicklungsbedarf bei der inter-institutionellen Kooperation, weshalb anzunehmen ist, dass das Potenzial für Innovationstransfer noch ausbaufähig ist. Um das identifizierte Innovationspotenzial auf der Mikro-Ebene ausschöpfen zu können, wären intensivere inter-institutionelle Kooperationen erforderlich.“ (Autorenreferat; BIBB-Doku)

„Inter-company training centres (ÜBS) are a central component of the dual vocational education and training system, particularly in the skilled crafts. They supplement in-company training by imparting qualifications that smaller companies are often unable to provide due to limited resources or specialisation. In addition, ÜBS are regarded as centres of innovation for the diffusion of new technologies. Nevertheless, there is a lack of studies in the innovative strength of ÜBS. Our research examines the innovation orientation of trainers in ÜBS, understood as vocational actions at the course (micro) and institutional (meso) levels. Innovation orientation is a necessary but not sufficient condition for the introduction and dissemination of workplace innovation. The aim is to identify a partial potential for innovation, not the transfer of innovation itself. The focus is on automotive engineering, a central field of ÜBS, but also one that is strongly affected by technological upheaval. Trainers in ÜBS demonstrate an innovation orientation in technical and didactic areas, but there is a need for improvement in inter-institutional cooperation. This is where innovation orientation is particularly important for transfer. More intensive inter-institutional cooperation is necessary to exploit the identified innovation potential.” (authors’ abstract; BIBB-Doku)
