Abstract
(Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)
"The master's thesis examines the nursing-scientific and nursing-didactic instructional behaviour as well as the habitualised practices of teachers in practice in nursing training. It compares academic and vocational teachers in practice from the following nursing settings: acute-care, long-term-care and home-care. The aim is to gain empirical insights into the organisation of practical teaching and self-image, as well as to identify development opportunities. Using qualitative social research, 14 guideline-based expert interviews with teachers in nursing practice were conducted and analysed according to grounded theory methodology. The data was analysed using open, axial and selective coding, including the use of the mental field as a research tool. The results show that the habitualised practices in the instructional actions of teachers in nursing practice exhibit contrasting patterns of justification in terms of nursing science and nursing education. Their understanding of the profession, their competence formation and knowledge requirements have a decisive influence on the design of practical teaching. Different instruction profiles are worked out on the basis of case reconstructions. The research work empirically substantiates the need for greater professionalisation of teachers in nursing practice. Recommendations for higher education qualification with the involvement of vocational training teachers are derived." (Authors' abstract, BIBB-Doku)
